Hello Jennifer,

Looking at the symbolism image, you have this tower, sticking out in what looks like a roaring sea. That is a powerful image!

I think the right middle image on the aesthetic view page is very compelling. It illustrates what you write about how the mountains interact with the buildings. However, I think the way you have treated the other buildings counter the notion of it being this tranquil spot in the noise of the bustling city. Did you insert your building in the skyline picture above? If so, then it blends in and perhaps, that is good - then again, where is my quiet oasis that you promised?

I like the idea of bringing greenery into the building, however, I am unconvinced with the juxtaposition of that with (most probably) air conditioned shops. It does not sound like the tranquil experience you promised. I think that if these were, perhaps, a different kind of shopping experience - for instance, if you related the side with shops to existing shops around the building, and brought those in, and gradually increased the amount of green space as you went up, bringing us to the spa... I don't know. What if you had mostly shops on the ground floor and then a garden on the second floor that bled outside and went up the mountain. This garden could could go up the building, vertically and its share of floor area increase as we went up the building. Regardless, I think it is a great idea, but I think it is too rigidly constructed. Does Feng Shui not allow for in-between spaces or gradual transitions?

• Appropriately incorporates 3ds-max 09 with Google to diagometrically incorporate architecture form and space of a proposed idea, into a built environment

Applied Theories
Sketch Problem by Jennifer Mui

• Does not adequately use 3ds-max 09 to depict and support the intended summary of the proposed context of this solution
• Illustrates the green environment surrounding the site, but causes a challenege for the reader to understand its incorporation into the solution. The seemingly hand sketches detracts from a contiguous 3ds-max 09 presentation aimed at demonstrating the application of useful tools for creation and illustrating ideas
• Realizing the probable challenge for 3ds-max 09 and Google to incorporate the solution into the evening skyline, the aesthetic of form and scale is understood in the isometric of the structures surrounding the proposed site.
• Introduces principals and laws of the local culture into the form and character of the solution. While the seemingly hand sketches did not help with further illustration, the discussion of incorporating Feng Shui helps an intended reader to apply its principals to the building form.

Contiguous form
Sketch Problem by Jennifer Mui

• The textual depiction of this solutions function does not aid in the graphical depiction of form to demonstrate a response to the program. It is difficult to see how the top and bottom are distinguishable, whithout reading the subject of Feng Shui.
